Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Chemmozhi Audio Books (“Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT) (www.cict.in). The Application is a project of the Central Institute of Classical Tamil, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User-Provided Information

The Application obtains the information you provide when you download and register the Application. Registration is optional, but may be required for some features.

No, the Application does not collect precise real-time location data of the device.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop data collection by uninstalling the Application through your device’s uninstall process. You may also email kannan.k@cict.in to request an opt-out.

Data Retention Policy

User-provided data will be retained while you use the Application and for a reasonable time afterward. Automatically collected data may be stored for up to 24 months, and in aggregate thereafter.

Children

We do not knowingly collect or market to children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has submitted data, they may contact us at kannan.k@cict.in to request deletion.

Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data using physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. Access is limited to authorized personnel. However, no system can fully eliminate all risks.

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Changes will be posted here and communicated via email or text. Continued use implies acceptance of updates.
